At this stage, students begin choosing optional subjects based on their preferences, individual strengths and future career aspirations. They can choose between an Entrepreneurship and Finance Workshop, French, and Visual Arts Projects.
The bilingual pathway, which begins in Primary Education, continues into Secondary Education, with 40% of the curriculum taught in English. We also offer a non-bilingual pathway for students who prefer this option.

To ensure that students use digital devices and online environments appropriately, our digital literacy programme teaches the values and skills needed to use technology ethically, responsibly and effectively.
Enquiry continues to be the central theme of learning. Students are increasingly encouraged to drive their own development through thinking routines, solving real-world problems and exploring different approaches.
English language learning enters a more advanced phase, focusing on grammatical accuracy and creative writing. This is supported by dedicated classes designed to prepare students for official Cambridge examinations. Most students complete Secondary Education with a B2 qualification under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), while some reach C2, the highest level within the framework.
Our public speaking and debating programme gives students the opportunity to develop their argumentation and critical-thinking skills, explore and understand opposing viewpoints, and improve their command of both verbal and non-verbal communication.
Secondary Education is a time of significant change, making pastoral support especially important at Cedes School. Students and their families receive ongoing guidance to help safeguard their physical, emotional, psychological and social wellbeing, with tutors providing dedicated support throughout this stage. The Social Skills subject also serves as an essential tool for developing healthy emotional awareness and positive social relationships.
